It’s day 23 which means only 7 days left of the Whole 30. I’m pretty stoked about it. I’m loving it and not really missing much. I of course have to think and plan ahead, but if I was on a diet, I’d have to do the same.
I’m going to friends for Christmas Eve and I’ve already developed the plan for that so I won’t be tempted or without food to eat. I’m preparing 2 side dishes which I can eat and also will be having turkey. I’m going to bring an apple to make a baked apple for dessert so that I can enjoy dessert with everyone but still be Whole 30.
I did an at home work out today to make up for no Krav class today. I did the Pound workout. It’s a lot of fun, and was created by 2 drummers, so you use weighted drumsticks and get to make lots of noise while working your arms, legs, and cardio. 30 minutes and my heart was working hard, sweat was dripping, and I felt good. I then attended my last yoga class of the year. It was a good class where we did a lot of work in warrior poses. So yeah my legs are a little bit on fire.
Now let’s talk food. For breakfast I had a sausage egg mcmuffin. And, my egg rounds came out AMAZING! I finally got it down pat. Still not crazy about turkey breakfast sausage though. It is growing on me but not very quickly.
Lunch was my turkey roll ups. This was paired with applesauce completely natural with no added sugar. I’ve got a jar in the fridge that needs to be eaten so, I had some today and added a little cinnamon to it to give it a little more flavor.
And, dinner was the piña colada chicken. Oh My Goodness! It was phenomenal, I’m already dreaming about eating leftovers. It’s got jerk seasoning in it so there is some spice, then add the coconut milk and pineapple you get s bit of sweet too. I felt I should be sipping on a umbrella drink, listening to some reggae, enjoying the breeze of the ocean, with my feet in the sand. Yeah, it was pure deliciousness. Got to try it. I found it in the Well Fed cookbook series. I’m thinking it might be pretty tasty on a salad for lunch. If I try it I’ll let you know how it tastes on a salad. I finished off dinner with the last of the zucchini fritters I had in the fridge.
Today was a great food day. Can you tell I’m pretty excited about that chicken.
