Dinner

Tonight I made a pretty tasty dinner for the husband and I.

Stuffed chicken with pesto, spinach, tomato, and fresh mozzarella. Caprese salad and a mixed green salad.

Along with making dinner I’ve been working on putting the office back together. The bookshelf is organized and looking nice. I have a shelf designated for travel and one for real estate.

After the bookshelf was tackled it was on to organizing the desk and putting all of the office supplies away. It is coming right along. Now it’s time to take all of the stuff that had taken up residence in the office that doesn’t really belong there and find a home for it.

We got some new shelving for the attached garage which will definitely be home to some of the stuff. I have tons of sensory and craft stuff from working in early childhood education and occasionally still do that stuff, plus it’s expensive so no need to replace it.

We also have a ton of stuff that we need to keep but doesn’t need to be cluttering up the office so it’ll be moved elsewhere.

I also have a ton of photography bags and multiple items of the same or near same thing that I’ll be going through and cutting down the amount of stuff we have.

Tomorrow we are off to the office supply store to get some things we need to further organize the room and then a few days of decuttering away and I’ll have a real office that is usable. Finally!!!

So I’ve actually had a fairly productive Sunday. And the husband has as well as he’s been working on his new electric home brew system he’s building.

So yeah we’ve been productive. No day of rest here.

Happy Sunday.

Donate If You Can

I’m a member of the local chapter of the Junior League. I’m actually a Provisional, which means it’s my first year and I’m learning about the league and getting acquainted with all that they do.

Every year the Provisional class holds a blood drive, and today was the day. We had a goal of getting 90 units and we got that and blew right on by it. So awesome to see so many people come out and donate.

This was only a few hours into the drive

Right now they are in urgent need of blood so if you can donate please do so. Save a life.

Lots of Steps

Today the husband and I made the trip to IKEA. I love that place not just because of all of the cool stuff you can find there but also because I got some serious steps in. Unfortunately, I was not wearing my tracker but that’s okay I know I walked all over that place. Tested out all sorts of desks and chairs and pushed some heavy carts.

Plus we were successful in finding a workstation for the office. SCORE!!!!!

Now the next few days will be taking everything out of the office to move in the new stuff and organize, organize, organize the room so that I can actually work in it and not have anxiety over the disarray and disorganization that it currently is.

So many things to do this week for all of my jobs. Good thing I have nothing major scheduled.

Oh Man

I ran to Whole Foods and Trader Joes today. I love living in an area where not only do we have both of these stores but they are across the street from each other. It makes shopping so easy.

While at Trader Joes today I found these guys

Say what!!!!

Gluten-free Joe Joes. Oh Trader Joes you slay me.

I’m going to be completely honest here. They are anywhere nearly as tasty as the real deal but still pretty good. It’s actually a good thing that they aren’t as tasty as the real deal because I’d have eaten the whole box already. Luckily, I’ve been able to control myself.

I love that more and more stores and restaurants are accommodating the needs of gluten-free people. It definitely makes eating out and grocery shopping a whole lot easier.

I’ve been a big fan of the Whole Foods sandwich bread but today I picked up Trader Joes version and I can’t wait to compare the two to see which I like better. I’ll let you know after I’ve tried it a few times.

A New Job

This is not related to anything about extra pounds but hey it’s my blog and I can write about what I want so I’m going to, and well it makes me feel good about myself so I guess it kind of does have something to do with the blog.

Anyway, I’ve done I’ve joined the direct sales wagon. I’ve recently become a Stella & Dot stylist. I love the products from Stella & Dot. I have a ton of stuff from them, and well it made sense to make a little money while enjoying the merchandise.

Why do I love Stella & Dot so much, besides the amazing way it looks? Well I love that it is so versatile. Many of their pieces are designed to be more than 1 way, which I love. I can take a piece from day to night just by changing up the way I’m wearing it by adding or removing a part of the piece.

Currently right now my favorite piece is the Freya Fringe necklace. I have worn this piece so many times and I’ve only owned it for about a month. According to the website it’s a 4 in 1 piece however while cruising on Pinterest I found this clever person who shows 11 different ways to wear the necklace, 1 way is as a bracelet.

I love it and can’t wait to try some of these different variations of the necklace. Add in the fact that this necklace is mixed metals and well it can be worn with pretty much everything I own. This is great when traveling I don’t have the need to bring tons of accessories, I just grab 1 or 2 of my pieces and I’m good for the entire time I’m gone.

The Freya isn’t the only piece that’s like this. I’ve worn the Lottie necklace, which unfortunately is retired, as a bracelet,

and have recently found some really cool layering ways to wear this necklace with other necklaces.  Here’s the actual necklace

I loved it as a bracelet and also wearing it backwards so that it’s all gold.

Click here and check out all of the fun, versatile, and stylish items you can get. I mean Valentine’s Day is coming and we have some amazing engravables that would make great gifts. This is one of my favorite ways to use the engravables:

Also, the spring line just launched and I can’t even tell you how much I love so many of the pieces. Yes I pretty much want them all, but I’ve picked a couple that I can’t wait to start wearing.

Be sure to pop on over and like my Facebook page I’d really appreciate it and it’s wear I’ll announce new line launches, promotions, and occasional giveaways.

Okay, enough plugging myself here’s to a great weekend, and if you’re in the snow storms path stay warm and safe.

Step Goal Reached Still Didn’t Get What Was Needed

Today, the husband and I set out in search of a new desk for the house. After searching through several office and furniture stores we came home with nothing. So, yeah it was a complete bust.

However, it wasn’t a complete bust as I met my step goal for the day and then some all by lunchtime. So, I guess it’s a good thing we didn’t find what we were looking for in the first, second, or third store we went into. Although, I wish we had found something in one of the stores we visited. Now, we will be expanding our search for the desk. But, hey I guess that means the next shopping or I guess I should say searching trip will get me some more steps.

I’ve decided that I need to set up my calendar again for working out and set up a weekly menu so I can get myself back on the healthy living track because I’ve been off for far too long.

Now to do some work for tomorrow and go to bed early. I’ve been staying up way too late lately. Ughhhh are we seeing a pattern here? Not eating healthy, not getting enough exercise, not getting enough sleep. Yeah, can we say I need to get my sh*t together.

Stay warm if you are in the path of the impending storm coming to the East Coast this weekend.
