I miss eating Girl Scout Cookies, not that I should eat them anyway because they aren’t all that great for you, but oh yum those Samoas, Thin Mints, & Peanut Butter Patties, or whatever they are called in other places. Alas, I can’t eat them as they are filled with gluten, however apparently this year they have gluten-free cookies. I have yet to hear what the flavor is but I may just have to check it out, and well only one box will be bought as they are like $5 a box now, which is INSANE!!!
Happy Monday, which for some wasn’t really Monday it was a bonus weekend day, and here’s hoping your Tuesday isn’t like a typical Monday.
I mean if you can’t joke about it then it will truly bring you down and you won’t be able to pick yourself back up.
Seriously, someone needs to follow me around and knock the crap food out of my hands as I try to stuff it in my mouth.
I need to get myself back to clean eating and quick like. Too much crap food equals weight gain, yucky skin, and just feeling like crap. You’d think I’d have learned by now.
Tomorrow is a new day, and better choices will be made.
It’s rainy here today. A perfect day to curl up with a cup of hot cocoa and a book.
I found hazelnut almond milk creamer at the grocery store the other day! Which I’m super excited about it. I used it today mixed with almond milk so pure cocoa powder and a smidge of honey to make myself a nice cup of cocoa. It was amazing. I am in love with this creamer. I’m hoping to see them come out with more flavors. The best part the ingredients are almonds hazelnuts and water.
After enjoying my hot cocoa and book this morning it was time to think about lunch. I used leftover rice and chicken and made myself chicken rice soup which was so good that I couldn’t wait for it to cool and now have a completely burnt mouth but the soup was amazing. And, well my doggies love the fact that I made soup today as they will be getting the leftovers with their dinner tonight.
I love rainy days and warm comforting foods.
Seriously, after the last 4 days I’m asking myself did I really eat all of that, but it was oh so good.
Portion control and way less fattening food choices starting tomorrow since the leftovers have been consumed so no more temptation.
Hope your holiday and weekend was amazing.
Hopefully you can still move after eating all of the wonderful food today.
I’ve been crazy busy with life lately, but now things are returning back to normal.
I got the all clear on the broken ankle on Friday which means I can and will start going back to some fitness classes. I will have to take it slow and not push it too hard but I need to get my butt back to moving.
I need to start eating clean and healthy again. I’ve started eating processed crap again and well it’s exactly that crap.
Time to make some food from real ingredients and feel good again.
Hope all has been well with you.
Tonight we tried out our local sushi joint. The husband loves sushi I do vegetarian rolls. We both are happy it’s win-win.
He had a plate full of raw fish, and I had a plate full of different vegetable rolls. I even tried a new one that I had never had before. I had to google it before I ordered because well I had no idea what it was. It was a kanpyo roll which is a sweet squash. It was really good and something I’d definitely get again.
I also had Miso Soup as it is chilly out and nothing hits the spot to warm you up like a nice hot coup of soup.
And, now it’s chips and salsa and a little Sunday night football.
