My living room currently looks like an Amazon warehouse. I have boxes everywhere filled with Christmas items. They all need to be wrapped and sorted into boxes of what goes where.
I of course need to get on top of this as I need to get it in the mail ASAP as to guarantee a Christmas delivery. I have no motivation to even start ripping through the stuff, but it needs to happen as I’m running out of time.
So tomorrow it’s work and Christmas wrapping and get it together and sent out.
Motivation please find me to get through this Christmas stuff.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving, which means today is the official start of the countdown to Christmas.
Lights and decorations are going up all over town, and Busch Gardens Christmas Town officially opened today.
The decorations that they put up are quite spectacular and fun is being had by all. Oh and did I mention the steps I’m getting in today with the bonus of pulling a wagon around as well. Workout complete.
Oh and of course it’s Black Friday, but I did the shopping online this year. I was not fighting crowds for a few bargains here and there.
Hope you’re all enjoying this holiday weekend.
It’s Christmas Eve and Day 24 of Whole 30.
I’m spending the evening with friends having a nice dinner.
I made 2 side dishes for the dinner so that I would have food that I knew was whole 30. I made a butternut squash, apple, cranberry bake that smells wonderful. The recipe did call for maple syrup but I just left that out so the recipe would be whole 30. You can check out the recipe here. It’s a super simple and easy recipe to make. Although, can I tell you how much I hate peeling butternut squash. That’s a bit of a chore, but I made quick work of it. But seriously that was the longest part of making this dish, well the part that took the most work from me.
I also made an Italian Sausage and Eggplant Strata. This recipe has lots of steps is a little time consuming but the finished product is well worth it. This recipe was taken from the Well Fed cookbook series. So far this series is 2 for 2 on recipes that I’ve tried and loved. If you’re looking for a good cookbook you might want to check these 2 out.
Breakfast, well more like brunch was my 3 ingredient pancakes. Although, they came out more as a scramble since I’m still getting used to cooking with ghee and didn’t quite use enough to coat the bottom of the pan. But, they were still tasty and satisfying.
I had a snack late this afternoon to tide me over until dinner. My snack consisted of some turkey slices and pineapple.
It’s been a great Christmas Eve so far, and I’m looking forward to watching 24 hours of A Christmas Story.
Hope your enjoying the day with your loved ones.
Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah
And, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. With tomorrow being Thanksgiving, I’ve created a plan for myself to keep the complete overeating and indulging to a minimum.
First, my workouts. I will be torturing myself again by doing Ballet Beautiful’s 1 hour total body workout, followed by yoga. I also will be hitting the treadmill for an hour broken up into 20 minute sessions. These sessions will be occurring while I’m making the yumminess that I will be taking over to the Wolfpack’s Thanksgivukkah feast. By adding the hour of treadmill time in I should be able to get my daily step goal in, as well as burn some extra calories.
I’ve planned and well have been telling myself over and over again that I will stick to one serving of each food that I am eating, and also will watch the “serving” I put on my plate.
I think I’very prepared myself as best I can for tomorrow, and if I do overindulge it won’t be the end of the world, I’m just planning on not.
Happy Hanukkah to all of you who celebrate.
