So today was Day 3 of Wek 2 of Phase 1 of Metabolic Aftershock. Yeah, and as the title says it definitely isn’t getting any easier. Ughhhhh!!! This Day 3 workout holy cannoli folks!!! I’ve been done with the workout for an hour and my legs are still feeling a little shaky.
Bulgarian Split Squats, Lunges, and Squats, oh and then some staggered push-ups just for a little extra torture. Yeah, I hate you! My legs will be feeling this through the weekend. But, hey I am pushing myself and working hard! The sweat that was pouring off me is definitely proof of that, oh and the fact I was sucking wind.
And, of course after I finished the Aftershock workout it was onto my treadmill training. Yeah, I wanted to die 10 minutes with a tenth of a mile/hour increase in speed felt like 10 days, but I pushed through and did it.
I’m going and I’m sticking with it but it exhausts me. But, there is no stopping me I need to make the changes and I feel pretty awesome afterwords so it’s worth it.
And, it’s Friday which means some fun things planned for the weekend and no scheduled exercise but I’m sure I’ll find something to do.
Enjoy your weekend.
This week, was another positive week, even with the added stress of putting the house on the market. I haven’t been as motivated some days, but still met my daily goals.
I’ve made positive choices this week, usually when I’m stressed I eat more than I should and the food choices I make are not the best, but this week I’ve made good choices and haven’t slid into old habits.
And, now for the stats
- 59,712 steps taken
- 8,676 daily average steps
- 19,859 calories burned
- 2,878 daily average calories burned
- 26.13 miles
- 3.81 daily miles average
- 5 hours and 15 minutes of highly active activity
- 47 daily average of active minutes
- Best active day yet, Wednesday with 99 minutes
- 8,107 weekly calorie deficit
- 3.8 pounds lost
My steps were down this week, but still exceeded my goals, but the active time is something I’m very proud of. As long as that continues to go up and I reach my daily goals I am happy with the progress I am making.
Today starts week 6 of this journey and I’ve increased my daily goals. 8,000 steps, and 3 miles a day. Which this shouldn’t be too difficult for me, as I’m already averaging that, but there were definitely days this past week were I didn’t reach those goals, so it will be work on some days.
Here’s to a great week 6, and looking forward to a rewarding week 7.
Yesterday, I didn’t do my weekly recap, because it was a big day, it marked the end of my first month on this journey.
I thought I’d go over my results from this past week. It was another week where things went well, even though I faced a few challenges. I wasn’t feeling completely motivated on some days, and had to overcome a slight weight gain, although there was a reason behind the slight gain.
I overcame the small obstacles, and powered through the week, and had a successful week. Any week that I stay committed to this new lifestyle is a success.
Here are last weeks stats:
- 56,464 total steps
- 7,547 daily average
- 20,131 calories burned
- 2,923 daily average calories burned
- 24.69 miles walked
- 3.31 daily average miles walked
- 3 hours 21 minutes of very active activity
- 27 minutes daily average of very active minutes
- 8,043 calorie deficit
- 1.6 pounds lost
Some of these numbers are lower than last week, but still above the goals I had set for myself for the week. I love the fact that I’m finding ways to become more active in my daily life along with incorporating daily workouts into my day.
