Phase 1 Complete

This morning I got up and did the final workout of Phase 1 of Metabolic Aftershock, and no that workout didn’t get easier. However, I worked harder and burned more calories than I did last week so that’s awesome. Because well that’s what is supposed to happen.

I’m looking forward to starting Phase 2 on Monday. I will be previewing the workouts later today to see what I’m in store for.

Over the last 3 weeks I’ve lost 13 pounds. I don’t really see my clothes fitting any different or any difference in my appearance, but the 13 pounds are gone according to the scale. Whooooo!!! But, most of all I can do my treadmill training at a certain speed for 10 minutes straight which when I started I was going much slower and for only half that time.

I’m not getting winded doin simple tasks and every time I do a workout I feel I’m doing more and getting stronger. So all of these things are huge pluses in my book.

So with this I’m happy with the results of Phase 1 and am excited to see what Phase 2 has in store for me.

Happy Friday. Here’s to a dry weekend as it’s going to be raining and nasty here.

Week 14 Recap

So this week has been something. This week brought me my highest step day ever, and also some really lazy feeling days. But, I’ve gotten through it. I may have not wanted to get up and do my workouts, but I did do them, and I met my goals. So, it was a successful week. I don’t know if I had a weight loss or gain this week since I’ve been out of town and am at a hotel there is no scale, and I refuse to bring one with me on a weekend away. So my stats will be missing that, but tomorrow I’ll hop on the scale and see how I did.

And, now for the stats:

  • 88,445 total steps
  • 20,243 steps in one day
  • 12,996 daily average steps
  • 21,120 calories burned
  • 3,104 daily average calories burned
  • 7 hours very active
  • 63 minutes daily average very active
  • 8,931 calorie deficit

Even with several days feeling the lack of motivation I did alright. Now to figure out how I’ll get my steps, and workouts in with a 5 hour car ride. I’ll do it somehow.

Weekly Recap Week 2

Another week has come to end.  With this end, comes a recap of the past weeks events.

First I had a personal achievement of walking over 10,000 steps in one day, which I am totally stoked about.  I did all of my scheduled workouts, and even added in a few more.

  • Lost 3.2 pounds this week
  • Walked 46,100 steps
  • 6,014 steps was the daily average
  • 18,186 calories burned
  • 2,631 calories burned was the daily average.
  • 7,824 calorie deficit this week
  • 20 miles walked
  • 2.6 miles walked was the daily average
  • 1 hour 57 minutes of highly active activity this week
  • 15 minutes was the daily average for highly active activity
  • Total weight loss 7.4 pounds.

This week has been another success for me.  Not only from the loss that showed up on the scale this morning, but also because of all I’ve accomplished.  I clocked in 10,000+ steps in one day, have successfully ran for 3 consecutive minutes with my run training, and haven’t felt like I’m going to die from lack of oxygen, have improved in my yoga work, and have continued to make health food choices.

I definitely feel that I have more energy after working out, some days I have to make myself workout, but it is definitely worth it, after I am done.  Actually about 10 minutes into it, I no longer am dreading it.  I like the changes that I have begun to make in my life, and can’t wait to see what else will come my way.
