Blah

I’m still feeling blah 2 days after eating dairy. I really know for sure that cow’s milk is just not for me. 

Tomorrow I’m going to reintroduce rice and see how I respond to that. I’m hoping that goes well because seriously I’m quickly running out of foods I can eat and enjoy without stomach issues. 

Tomorrow night I also have a cocktail party for the Junior League which should be a lot of fun. I of course will be sticking to eating veggies along with sipping on some club soda and lime. 

I definitely like the healthy choices that I’ve been making and it’s showing. Today I’m wearing capris that just a week or 2 ago were tight and well today they are feeling good. A bit loose even. Clean eating is the way to go.

1st Goal 

It’s been a week since I finished my Whole 30 and I weighed myself today. After 30 days of Whole 30 I was a little over 2 pounds away from reaching my first weight loss goal. Today, I got on the scale and I lost another 3.5 pounds this week. Which, means I’ve reached my first goal WHOOOOOO!!!! I’m actually under my first goal already working towards my second goal. And, most importantly the way I am eating is definitely a big part to my weight loss. 

I haven’t been exercising nearly as much as I should I’ve just been eating my clean and healthy. I’ll have days where I do exercise or some sort of activity, but nowhere near the type of exercise I was doing before I hurt the knee. 

I am definitely sticking with this way of eating. It’s amazing how I feel. And, the results I’m seeing are a HUGE plus as well. There really is no need to eat processed food, it’s really not good for us. And, eating whole real unprocessed food isn’t hard at all. Yes, at times you may have to get creative when you’re eating out or be a bit high maintenance to get what you want but it’s totally worth it. 

Im enjoying this rainy morning excited about my progress and drinking a cup of Crio Brü. 

Today I’ll also be reintroducing dairy we shall see how that goes.

Today I went shopping for a dress for a cocktail party I am attending next week. I was able to pick out a dress that was 2 sizes smaller than the one I needed just a month ago. 

Whole clean eating is definitely the way to go. 

I’m excited about the dress and the party. And, I really excited about the 2 sizes down. Here’s hoping by the end of the month I’ll be able to say I’m down another size or close to it. 

Week 15 Recap

This week has been a so-so week for me. I found myself at the beginning of the week adjusting my workouts to account for things that came up in life, but even with this I was still active, got my 10,000 steps in and did exercise. I also was feeling completely exhausted, and then was hit with chest congestion and coughing fits.  This if course turned out to be another respiratory infection, which I am now currently being treated for. I want this thing under control, well completely gone would be even better for my upcoming trip to NY.

So between life and getting sick my exercise routine definitely suffered. I shortened or modified a lot of them. I didn’t run once this week. Which means this coming week is going to be a bit difficult, but I’ll get through it.

Week 9 Recap

This week has been rough for me.  My motivation has been nonexistent. I’ve been doing all of my planned exercise and activity. I’m just dragging ass about doing it. I’ve been getting out of bed later and later it seems and getting done with my workouts later and later. Tomorrow, the alarm will be set and I’ll get my butt up and moving. Hopefully with the alarm set I’ll be able to motivate. I do have some household stuff that needs to get done that I’ve been putting off.

Month 2 Recap

Today, is the start of Week 9 in this new life long journey, and well I can’t believe that I’ve already made it through 2 months.  It doesn’t seem like that long, but I think about all that I’ve accomplished already and changes that I have made that are now habit not something I have to think about I am truly amazed.

This month came with some challenges, that I was able to address and make a plan for.  I think that is truly the way to approach this.  Yes, there are going to be challenges, challenges occur with living, but as long as we look at the challenge, assess the challenge, and make a plan, you can get through it.  This month had Thanksgiving, travel with 10 hours in a car over 2 days, and being sick.  These are challenges, but by seeing them and planning out how I was going to deal with each one I was not only able to overcome them, but surprise myself as well. This year Thanksgiving week didn’t see me gorging myself on food that’s better eaten in moderation, I instead planned out ahead of time what I would eat and stuck to portion sizes instead of heaping mounds of the delicious holiday food. When I found out that I would be traveling I made sure to get up early and bust out more time on the treadmill, and packed snacks, water, and lunch for the drive.  It would be and was a more nutritious option then anything I would find at a highway stop.  With the cold that I’ve come down with I’ve been sure to get my daily workouts in and meet my daily goals, and not caring if I got more than the daily minimum in.  Also if I’ve wanted a nap I’ve taken one, but also being conscious of getting up and moving a bit as well.

This month was amazing for me I lost weight every week, even the dreaded period week, not much that week, but it was still a loss rather than my normal gain, and I ran for 10 minutes straight.  I never thought that, that would be something that I could do.  I also added more time to my Zumba days, and started doing a barre workout, that continues to kick my butt every time I do it.

  • Lost 8.4 pounds over the month. Add that to the 8.2 pounds lost in the first month, and I am down a total of 16.6 pounds
  • I lost a total of 7.5 inches this month.  Add that to last months 5.4 inches, and I’ve lost a total of 12.9 inches.  Almost 13 inches in 2 months.  I’ll take it!
  • I’ve increased my daily steps, miles walked, and active time

I’m excited by how far I’ve come in such a short time, and I can not wait to see what my results will be after month 3.  I’m making a change in my lifestyle, and so far I love it.
