I have tons of stuff to do at the house. I mean unpacking is not going to happen all on its own.
However, the weather today was rain with thunderstorms and even some tornado warnings thrown in. It was the perfect day to curl up watch some movies and read some books. And, well yeah that’s what I did. Tomorrow I need to get my butt in gear and unpack this house.
Today we finally finished up at the rental house. All of our stuff is out the house is clean and the yardwork is done.
Of course our new house looks like this in every room
But, hey all of our stuff is now in one place and I can start the process of unpacking and making our new house into a home.
This move may have an end in sight.
Today was another day of packing up the rental. Although, I’m happy to report that there is very little left over there. One more load of stuff and it’ll be cleaned out of our stuff.
Tomorrow will be spent loading up the last of that stuff. Followed by cleaning the house while the husband tends to the yard.
So after tomorrow it should all be about our new house and getting it set up as our home. Because right now every room looks pretty much like this:
Its 102 and that’s just too damn hot to move and unpack crap yet that’s what I’m doing again.
When will this move end. On the plus side I think I managed to lose another pound or 2 through just plain sweating.
So, we’ve been moving for the past week. And, of course Mother Nature has decided to grace us with wonderfully hot hot weather. Today it was 98 degrees. It’s 9pm and it’s still 90 degrees out.
Yeah holy hotness. Let’s just say packing up all of the small stuff in a house and then moving it across town to your new house is a pain as it is. However, when it feels like the surface of the sun it’s even more miserable.
And, oh joy tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter. Shot me now. Hopefully, tomorrow will be the last day of moving stuff, which means Wednesday we can schedule the Good Will pick up and clean the house so that it’s all ready for whoever rents it. So, if Wednesday is hot at least it won’t be a moving stuff type of day it’ll just be a scrubbing kind of day.
Moving is definitely a workout and we’ll add in the heat and I’ve probably sweat off 10 pounds easily. Can’t wait for this to be done.
Today it was ridiculously hot. Who am I kidding it’s been ridiculously hot all week. Why, because I’m moving that’s why. Thank you Universe I love you too.
Luckily, I started my morning off early and was able to get the stuff I was moving today done early. Let’s just say there was plenty of time to do a second run today, but I wasn’t going to do it.
And, being that tomorrow is going to be hotter, I’m not moving anything I’m going to stay at the house and start finding homes for all this stuff of ours.
We closed on our new house on Tuesday and since then have been going full tilt crazy getting things moved. Unlike the last move which was cross country this one is cross town. So, with that there was very little packing. We kind of threw things on the truck or in the trailer and once it was full we went to unload it. Which works pretty well but I’m still left with a ton of crap that still needs to be moved from one house to the other.
So today I accomplished this:
A nice, clean, empty room.
However, this is now what I have at the new house:
So, I’m not sure if that’s considered progress or status quo. I mean I guess I did get everything from that room into the new house and that room is now clean so I guess it’s some sort of progress.
Hoping to tackle a bit more tomorrow. As in get the bathroom cleaned out, coat closet, and part of the guest bedroom done. Definitely getting the bathroom and hall closet done.
Moving is a PITA. Can’t wait till it’s over.
We picked up this today:
Which means lots of exercise was had today. Moving tons of stuff over to our new house.
I will say moving across town is a lot easier than making cross country moves.
I know one thing. I’m going to sleep well tonight.
Apparently, moving is my new form of working out. I mean I do it an awful lot.
This is what my living room currently looks like:
As we start moving into our new home tomorrow.
This makes 5 times in 3 years. Yeah I’m done moving after this.
